REGION 6
HEALTHCARE COALITION

ABOUT US
The Region 6 Healthcare Coalition (R6 HCC) serves a 13-county area in West Michigan, bringing together hospitals, EMS agencies, public health, long-term care, mental health, and emergency management partners to strengthen preparedness and coordinated response.
Through planning, training, exercises, and resource-sharing, R6 HCC works to ensure that local healthcare systems can respond effectively to natural disasters, public health emergencies, and other large-scale incidents. It acts as a bridge between individual healthcare entities and state-level emergency response structures, ensuring that regional vulnerabilities, needs, and assets are aligned and supported.
R6 HCC also plays a critical role in grant management, risk assessment, communication infrastructure, and the deployment of mutual aid in crises. By fostering relationships, standardizing response protocols, and maintaining readiness, the coalition raises resilience across the region’s healthcare network.
